A Resource for Sexual Assault Survivors in Lake of the Ozarks

SEEK THEN SPEAK is an interactive, web-based tool designed to help survivors of sexual assault gather important information, explore their options, and take action — including the option of reporting to the police. Developed with grant funding and pilot-tested in several diverse communities, SEEK THEN SPEAK offers a secure and supportive space for survivors and their supporters to take the first step toward justice and healing.

Through SEEK THEN SPEAK, survivors can:

  • Explore Reporting Options – Understand the process of reporting to law enforcement and other agencies.
  • Gather Resources – Access valuable information about legal options, medical services, and support systems.
  • Take Control – Begin the process of reporting and pursuing healing at their own pace and on their own terms.

Both survivors and professionals have shared their positive experiences with SEEK THEN SPEAK, emphasizing its potential to empower survivors and help them take meaningful steps toward justice and recovery.
